By the way, with only 25% Winston Churchill, it is not a surprise that this looks nothing like it.
I once had a hybrid that was half bulldog, half Maudiae type.
The flower barely had any bulldog influence.

I just knocked-off another maudiae hybrid so I'm impressed you can grow the plant so well, never mind the exquisite flower.
Incidentally, this is Winwine: http://www.marriottorchids.com/Gallery photos/Winwine DarkSpell FCC.jpg and already it looks far removed from WC. The maudiae hybrid is very dominant.

This is a truly lovely result. Still surprising that WC has near no visible influence at all. The first time I saw one I found it difficult to accept, but as we get to see more of them we realize how influence is translated into improved shape and texture. A fantastic bloom, congratulations.
