    Summer Phalaenopsis

Some iPhone pics from the grow area. Two bellinas. Both first blooms ('B#3' on the left and a cross from Krull-Smith on the right). Tzu Chiang Tetralitz 'Little Heart' Hannover Passion

    Phal. mariae

Very nice. Looks like mariae to me! Tangerine scent is also a mariae-specific thing.

    Coelogyne usitana

Then I think you will have to get a Coelogyne foerstermannii - small for a Coelogyne and super fragrant too.

    Coelogyne usitana

I think this is one of the coolest Coelogyne species out there. Flower is bigger than expected and what most descriptions fail to say is that it is fragrant (here's another for you, Eric) and smells like honey to me.

The Land of the Thunder Dragon part 2 - The treks

We only did Paro, Thimphu and Punakha. All the temples and dzongs were great, but when we were stuck just before Dochula Pass for a few hours on the way back to Paro, the guides actually let me hike up to the pass on my own (not sure if they were supposed to do that..). Even though it was on the...

The Land of the Thunder Dragon part 2 - The treks

That last shot is amazing! Thanks for sharing your photos and experiences. I had a chance to visit Bhutan last year, but it was a short trip, so more similar to your first post. Definitely think I need to go back and do these hikes. Did you manage to see any blue poppies while trekking?

    Some Phalaenopsis again

I'm guilty of this as well hehe. Nice collection! I like the Samera the best, I have one in bloom (previously unbloomed) right now but it has rather terrible form.
