    Phalaenopsis appendiculata

Currently in bloom is this Phal appendiculata, probably my favorite mini phal species. It has been flower for since April, but I didn't get a good picture until now.

    Bulbo beccarii

Amazing! That's one huge raceme to complement the huge leaves. Congrats on this achievement.

    Cuitlauzina pendula

Amazing! This is a new one for me too.

Phalaenopsis corningiana 'Fernbrook' AM/AOS x 'Dowery'

Thanks all! This came from Peter at BLO. I don't keep it sopping wet, just damp enough that it dries out in three or four days.

    Phalaenopsis Amblearis (amboinensis x cochlearis)

Very nice, and flat! The lip coming from cochlearis is always really cool.

Phalaenopsis corningiana 'Fernbrook' AM/AOS x 'Dowery'

Thanks! This is in 100% sphagnum, under ~1,000 fc for 13 hours at 72-80F with the RH hovering around 48%.

Phalaenopsis corningiana 'Fernbrook' AM/AOS x 'Dowery'

This is my favorite phal! Not getting the red as saturated on these, probably because these are grown indoors under lights with lower humidity. They're super fragrant (very sweet and grape-y) between 9-11 a.m., but don't really have much scent after noon.

    Roths at Sabah (ex-situ)

Nice to see these being conserved ex situ! What about the Phal species at these places? : D

Awarded at the Ann Arbor Orchid Society show last weekend

    Congrats! Both are very nice

    Paph. sanderianum 'Melinau Paku'

Great! I knew there would be a more logical reason.. This sandie sure has some long winding petals : D

    Paph. sanderianum 'Melinau Paku'

Sounds like it may be some wild collected plant from the cultivar name? The Melinau Basin is where Mulu is in Borneo where Paph. sanderianum are found and Paku is generic for 'fern' so it might've been because there're lots of ferns there. I made that all up in my head but maybe Robert can tell...

    Paph. sanderianum 'Melinau Paku'

    Wowsers! Love it.

    Phal. Mannosa

Nice to see phal primaries here : ) it's great that it's possible to grow these without heating in NorCal. Does it smell like a venosa?

    Paphiopedilum micranthum subsp. eburneum

Thanks for the photography lesson : ) and amazing flowers and photos!!

    Paph. lowii 2015

Nice! Yea, I was noticing the interesting spots on the dorsal as well.

    Quite special vietnamense

That smells like polyploidy to me! It should breed fine if it's tetraploid, which can occur spontaneously under in vitro conditions. Are the leaves thicker and beefier as well?

    Paph. lowii

Nice save! And what cool horizontal petals.
