    Paphiopedilum richardianum

Shouldn’t there be a rule against posting heavily edited photos?

    paph. bellatulum

    You can do both.

    Gongara rufescens

Don’t be ridiculous. It is customary to show photos of the whole plant, so that others can learn what it looks like and see how it’s grown.

    Strange question on Neofinetia breeding

Wow. Never seen the like and I follow all the fukiran stuff. Wonder if it’s available?

    Paph gratrixianum (I think)

Everything checks out. All the characteristics match, you were told the country of origin, I don’t see anything that can point to hybrid origin except possibly that the gratrixianum I have seen have stiffer, thicker, upright leaves — but that’s easily explained by culture. Average fc for phrags?

All my Phragmipedium are in due-south windows. They bloom if they sieve summer outdoors with 80% full sun. Here’s Phragmipedium sargentianum/lindleyanum (as it came to me labeled), blooming now, having summered on the front porch out near the edge of the awning. Marks on the leaves are from a...

    Taiwanese Rothschildianum 2024

I remember reading somewhere that numbers of flowers per spike is dependent on numbers of leaves on the growth before the spike is set? Can anyone speak to that?
