I can imagine! (Letting dry) basket culture with moist breeze and letting get barely moist I think is good from culture info. I had a nice adult druryi I won in auction of deceased owners plants a number of years ago. In my plant stand setting it was in coco husk chip + other in a plastic net...

Definitely never use blood meal in any planting outdoors where you don’t want to attract raccoons :(

I owned a hybrid while living in n jersey, there are a few people in the general nyc region who grow them and occasionally they are disseminated through clubs and sales I really like the flowers but my plant didn’t flower before introduced scale reduced my collection
