Yes that was the infamous Deep Pockets x Jacob's Ladder cross sold by the Orchid Zone everywhere, turned out to be PEOY.

Petal lenght on the hybrids is related as well to pot size and the root system heavily. Some nurseries to extend the petal lenght of sands and the hybrids put them in a saucer of water when the spikes appear. A more elegant approach is to kind of overpot them in much bigger pot, minimum 21cm...

There are pygmy rothschildianum that do exist. That's mine here. The shape is already superb, with several flowers per spike. Just that it is a miniature roth in a 17cm pot.
