    Paphiopedilum Doll's Kobold

@DrLeslieEe I would love to hear the judges take. If it can hitch a ride to judging, it will be going just to see. I wish there was a closer judging center. Sigh.

    Paphiopedilum micranthum budding

I am excited and anxious to see two of my micranthum clones in low bud for the first time. I have bloomed micranthum var eburneum but not the type form. Part of me is hesitant to share fearing they will sense my excitement and blast. The other part of me knows that there is a long way to go...

Mexipedium xerophyticum ‘Windy Hill’ x ‘Oaxaca’

Well grown. Plus, I love the pot.

    C. purpurata venosa, sanguinea, and an alba

Yes!! I have a new thermos that does an amazing job keeping coffee hot... Or I can bring my french press.

    Paphiopedilum Doll's Kobold

It will likely be ready to divide in the fall or next spring. 😉 This has been with me for 11 years. I have taken divisions at least 4 times. A few folks on the forum have a division. If I did not divide it, it would need a 10 inch pot.

    Paphiopedilum Doll's Kobold

This is such a vigorous cross. Plus, it brings out the best of the parents: charlesworthii x henryanum.

    What is that?

I also agree with Rich and others. This happens with my phrags when they are underwatered and/OR have poor root systems.

    Phragmipedium Acker's Ornament

Yes. I have two, and they are growing very well. The could bloom more consistently but I think that is more of a watering issue. I am a chronic under waterer Good point! I have also done this is the past. When I did it, I decided to remove branches at the end of June. Thankfully nothing...

    Phragmipedium Acker's Ornament

@gonewild May day temperatures are in the low 70s. June to August highs are in the low 80s. September drops to highs in the low 70s. October highs are in the mid 60s. Humidity ranges from 55-75%. We get pretty upset about 75% humidity, which tells you it is not all that common for us.

    Phragmipedium Acker's Ornament

@gonewild During the months that they are outside, the night time lows average about 60F. July and August are the warmest, and the lows about 65. The phrags heavily influenced by besseae and kovachii go outside when the lows are in the mid 50s (May/early June) and come in when the lows...

    Phragmipedium Acker's Ornament

It is a deep peach color over salmon. The color is influenced by the color. Our latest cool down helped bring out the richness of the color. That is my outside space. It's a bit shader this year. Some of the surrounding tree branches are hanging low, but they are too high for us to remove...

    Phragmipedium Acker's Ornament

One of the best mislabeled orchid surprises. I received this as a Phragmipedium Audrey several years ago. Thankfully I was able to get an ID for it.

    Learning more about brachys

Wow. I love seeing this thriving under your care.

    Phragmipedium Ben Stormes

That's a pretty quick turn around especially for longer petal phrags. Nicely done!
  18. Djthomp28

    Phragmipedium hirtzii

It is a cutie. I hope you get confirmation on the id.
