    An excellent source of information is available on the Saint Augustine Orchid Society website. Look for pests and diseases section and further of application/rotation of chemicals...

    Yes “stupid” is a very loaded word. The only real way to know why a plant was screened was to be on the team, at the table, seeing what the team actually sees, and hearing the discussion. A photo does not always give the “full” story.

    There are a lot of variables on the trail to awards. Good genes is a big factor. Good culture is almost as important ( a great plant with mediocre culture…..) flower presentation, habit and arrangement etc. Timing: weather, freshness, Luck.
