    Re lava rock, one caveat/caution: depending on the source lava rock can often contain/carry weed seeds. I learned the hard way to sterilize by boiling prior to use.

    Then there is Gomesa Gomes-ah named after Sr Gomes. a favorite is: bigibbum bi-gib-um. It is often pronounced bigi-bum which if one is not careful becomes an ear worm

    Re temperature. My GH is not heated and can go down to 40 at night so I don’t do anything differently in that respect. Re rest: I kinda treat them all the same which is to say I’m kind or inconsistent. I reduce water significantly, but not complete dry rest.
