A year ago I got a strong young plant of Phragmipedium alba. I didn't believe it would bloom so quickly. The petals have a length of 13cm. I'm quite happy for a first bloom.

Yes, it is the first bloom, so there is legitimate hope. No, I don't know the parents or the nursery where it comes from. I'm currently in the process of researching this.

Phragmipedium Tupac Amaru (Peruflora's Cirila Alca x kovachii) is hardly different from my Fritz Schomburg. She is said to come from American elite breeding, but I expected more. 13cm wide.

Thanks, it's a disaster, I've spoken to several dealers, the market for Phragmipedia seems to have completely collapsed. I got a Caricinum from a dealer in Dresden. The plant is said to be very old. Unfortunately, she wasn't in good condition, but she was still alive. Now I'm eagerly waiting...

I was able to buy a very, very old Lemoinierianum plant from Franz Glanz in Dresden. It has an incredibly dark pigment. I suspect it was a selected plant for breeding. Craziness!
