Paph St Swithin 'Summer Storm' HCC/AOC

A nice dark form of St Swithin with relatively horizontal petals.

    Paphiopedilum helenae fm. aureum *****

Congratulations Chris. That is a magnificent clone. Up till now, I thought John's 'Charlie' clone was the best helenae I had seen. This is even better. Well done. I am still not clear in what you have done in this breeding. This seedling has resulted from two generations of breeding? So you...

    Paphiopedilum Yang-ji Hawk

    Beautiful. Looks a compact plant.

    Paphiopedilum helenae

    Just stunning. Incredible growing.

    Paph Johanna Burkhardts

Both are great but the seedling is a ripper. While I accept that anitum and adductum are the same species, I still prefer to label this hybrid as WBW.

Paphiopedilum (Bellatrix x bellatulum) x bellatulum

That is just wonderful. Great shape and the spotting is incredible.

Paph Bel Royal 'Memoria Terry Turner' AM/AOS

With the award upgrade, I had to make a bit more effort with the full plant photo.

    Paph St. Swithin

    Paphiopedilum PEOY 'Jules' AM/AOC

Not sure if other orchid societies do it, but at our Spring show there is a popular vote category. Anyone who comes to the orchid show, whether that be a member of the public or orchid society members, votes for their favourite orchid of the show. In all the 20 years I have been going to our...

Paph Bel Royal 'Memoria Terry Turner' AM/AOS

I was able to get it to the show in one piece in my Forester. I had to push the passenger seat right forward and put it on the floor in the back seat and then squeeze all the leaves in. A bit of damage to one leaf but the flowers were all intact. And it was certainly worth the effort. It won...

    St. Swithin 'Littlefrog Prince'

    Congratulations. Those measurement are huge.

    Paphiopedilum PEOY 'Jules' AM/AOC

It was awarded in 2008. Unfortunately, they got the clonal name wrong on the website - https://orchidsaustralia.com.au/orchidsaustralia.com.au/index.php/award-display?award=3794 They have put 'Queenscliff' instead of 'Jules'. There was a 'Queenscliff' PEOY clone awarded 2 years previously but...

    Paphiopedilum PEOY 'Jules' AM/AOC

This was the orchid that got me hooked into multi-floral Paphs. Twenty-three years ago, I had just joined our local orchid society. I went to our Spring Show and this plant won grand champion. I had never heard of multifloral Paphs before, let alone seen one in the flesh. I thought it was the...

    Paph Lady Rothschild

I'd be happy too. Such great form and clean colours. I love it.

    Paph delenatii

Lovely, both of them. Not a huge difference between the two.
  18. emydura

Paphiopedilum rothschildianum 'Black Eagle' x 'Giant Wings'

Thanks. Very excited to say the least. Not sure if I am measuring it right. The petal width is about 1.6 cm wide.
  19. emydura

Mis labeled as p black wings, any ideas

If it is a primary hybrid, then Mt Toro is the most likely ID. It would be one of the longer petaled Mt Toro's I have seen. Wonderful flowers.

Paphiopedilum vietnamense ‘Halo be thy Name’ AM/AOS

The colour is magnificent. Very good form for this species too.
