Paph rothschildianum 'Black Diamond' x ' Tarantula' GM/JGP

First flowering seedling. I am pretty happy with this one. Great colour, balance and shape. The only thing is it is a bit small (23.5 cm NS and DS 5.1 cm). But I was away for two months while the flowers were developing, and the buds were just about to open when I got back. The plant was bone...

Ruby Charm (helenae x Wonderful Ruby)

That is fantastic. Love the white halo on the dorsal.

That is the deal of the century. Very nice.

An AM for my Paph. liemianum!

Congratulations. Three flowers opened at the one time is amazing.

    I m so excited #2

Fantastic. That is a beautiful healthy clump. The leaves are very wide for a stonei. Look forward to seeing it in flower.

    insigne 'Sanderae'

That is fantastic Stephen. Makes me feel sad that I lost mine due to cold damage. It was a big plant too. They are so expensive to buy.

That is just stunning Justin. Your hard work has paid off. Hopefully you will see flowers more regularly from now on.

    roth hm x da

That is an outstanding Roth. This cross does seem to consistently produce great offspring.

Why are there not more Complex Paph crossed with Rothschildianum or Sanderianum?

Yes, you certainly increase the chances of deformed flowers. But a nice Iantha Stage is one of the more spectacular Roth cross sectional hybrids.

    Sometimes they don't work out.

    Iantha Stage.

Treated myself to a couple of choice paphs.

All three plants are outstanding. But the two multi's are incredible, especially the colour. The Regine Plows is the pick for me.

Paph. Johanna Burkhart ‘Tejas’ AM / AOS

Congratulations on the award and winning grand champion. Truly deserved. Outstanding clone. A little unlucky not to get an FCC.

Paph Prince Edward of York first bloom

That is a quality PEOY. I would be very happy with that.

    Oncidium Jiaho Queen "Jiaho"

Stunning colours. Unlike a lot of Oncidiums, it looks to be very compact.

    Orchids 2024

Proportionally, it is a bit out. The petals are very long relative to the rest of the flower. Never going to be awarded. But I still like it. It looks different. It is a unique looking roth. A keeper in my eyes.
  16. emydura

    another roth

    A keeper for sure.

    Paph coccineum

Very nice. Love the dorsal especially.

Paphiopedilum Last Isabel - 1st bloom

I have never seen a Lady Isobel look even remotely like that. Primary hybrids are pretty stable. They don't fluctuate wildly from one extreme to another. I could believe it was Lady Isobel x stonei. I guess another possibility is it is a Lady Isobel secondary hybrid (ie Lady Isobel x Lady...

    Paph gratrixianum (I think)

Thanks Rudolf. That is a strange trait. Certainly none of my plants have it.

    Paph gratrixianum (I think)

I was going to respond to this via PM, but I seem to be unable to do this with you.
