    haynaldianum

The colour intensity and petal stance are just wonderful. One of the best haynaldianum clones I have seen.

    Paph lowii aureum?

That is delightful. I agree with Rick in regards to staking. But I would stake it a little bit from the base of the spike so the flowers are held a little higher.

    Paph. Michael Koopowitz

That is wonderful Rick. Incredible petal length for a Michael Koopowitz. Looks a fairly compact plant too.

    Paph. lowii

    A lovely chunky clone.

    Supposedly paphiopedilum lady Isabelle ;)

We can definitely rule out Lady Isobel. Looks to be a haynaldianum hybrid of some sort. I was thinking Lebaudyanum too.

    Paphiopedilum Phillip's Song

That is just wonderful. The dorsal is a knockout. Very dark. Also love the long spirally petals. I have never heard of the cross, so I had to look it up - Hsinying Anita × philippinense. Seems like dark dorsals might be common in this cross. Here is another nice clone.

    Paph. Michael Koopowitz

I agree. That is an exceptional clone.

    Paphiopedilum Kolosand

That is really nice. Certainly worth having it judged. Might need to stake it better though. In my experience, some judges get pretty pedantic with staking.

    Paphiopedilum Prince Edward of York

I agree. Looks to have gigantifolium in it to my eyes.

    P.Rothschildianum growth rate

The smaller roth plant in the photo below I believe is similar size to yours. This is 'Giant Wings' x 'Canadian Club'. The larger plant is a FS seedling of the cross 'Black Diamond' x 'Tarantula'. Should be similar to your seedling. It is 90 cm LS. This plant should flower towards the end of...

    P.Rothschildianum growth rate

I do heat my greenhouse (minimum 15 degrees). But you have longer warmer winter days that would help.

    P.Rothschildianum growth rate

You guys are better growers than me. In my conditions, I would be unlikely to flower that within 5 years. It still looks pretty small to my eyes. I find plants with wider leaves will more likely give you better flowers.

    Paphiopedilum William Ambler 'Carob' HCC/AOC

That looks so dark Rick. Very exciting. I am amazed at your roots just growing out like that. That is a very coarse mix in an open basket. Are you watering every day?

    Vietnamense

That is just sublime. Colour and form. The shape is exceptional, especially for this species.

    Paph haynaldianum

I have had this plant a long time. A very slow grower. I think I last flowered it 5 years ago. It has a very long spike (80 cm).

    Some Orchiata related remarks

If I am using the 6-9 mm bark for small seedlings, I will mix it with perlite. Otherwise, I use the 9-12 and 12-18 mm bark straight.

    Plant insurance?

I expect insurance would be for cases where your plants were stolen or were lost due to a natural disaster such as fire or flood. It would make no sense for the insurance to include negligence by the grower. The premiums would have to be so high, otherwise the insurance companies would go broke.

    Paph rothschildianum

Well my other seedling from this cross got an AM award. Unfortunately it doesn't grow like this one though. Yes, this one flowered late. One of my last multi's for the season.

    Corysanthes hispida 'Wulgulmerang' FCC/AOC, ACE/AOC

Grows pretty fast. These are terrestrial orchids which have tubers (small bulbs). They die down around November and the leaves commence growing in early Autumn. Each tuber can produce several new tubers, so it multiplies very quickly. I am currently repotting my terrestrial orchids for next season.

    Paph rothschildianum

I know what you mean. When you grow them for years to get them to flower, it is hard to part with them. This is the first roth I ever flowered, so it does have some sentimental value. :)
