Who do I mean Eric? Raaaaay, I said Summer Sun is new to me! Thank you for the 2006 date. I love this plant and it's a really steady performer. Yeah, Woodstream is a good 'un.

    Cattleya walkeriana

I found 'Pendentive' at SVO, but the ones offered I think are too large for mounting and quite expensive for 4"-5" pots. $100. plus shipping is a bit over what I want to pay for an experimental mount. I did send him an email of inquiry. Mr. Clark emailed me and said he's checking. That's a...

    Phal gigantea are in buds

I mount several of my Phals. on cork with a bit of sphagnum. Some grow to the mount readily; some don't. My Phals. like my cool greenhouse temps growing along side Phrags. I have several in bloom or spiking. Thank you, Mr. Lin.

    Latest in Phrag. Breeding

Fox Valley and Orchidweb are my favorites. For some reason OrchidsLTD Phrags. are quite slow to adapt for me. Tom's Phrags. do well for me and seem to adapt quickly. Summer Sun is my personal favorite right now from Tom. I can't say if it's new, however, it's new to me.

Sophronitis coccinea aurea ‘Masako Hanajima’ FCC/AOS

Leslie, that sparkling color just assaulted my eyes! If this is a cool grower, I might try one or two. The shape is terrific. Do you think this lovely can be mounted in a cool, very humid greenhouse with LED grow lights and some sun when there is any?

    Dealing with being laid off.

Cklinger, don't fall for being a business owner at any price. I own a nursery business selling large trees wholesale to nurseries, garden centers and landscapers. It ain't worth it, especially if you have to accumulate a large debt and ties you down to a specific location. I have 100 acres of...

Catt. talk ALWAYS confuses me. It is amusing though.

    New kovachii cross

The dorsal is always a bit of a disappointment for me on some kov. hybrids. This bloom is beautiful, but the lighter dorsal is a distraction compared to the pouch and petals. The color of the petals and pouch is stunningly beautiful.

    Phal. tetraspis fma. livida 'Yaphon'

I have one that takes a week to a week and a half to develop fragrance. Keep sniffing!

    Just start the schlimii season

I kinda hate to write it, but that bloom is soooo cute. Nothing competes with schlimii for absolute cute-ness. My schlimii season is much later in the year. Thanks for the preview.
