Mine is in bloom right now. The pouch is showing but the thing is taking forever it seems to open. It has not showed progress for 3 day in going to pop open. Did you find this happen to yours?

This has been developing since April or may: not exactly sure. It has been slowly opening but has stopped in its current state for about 2-3 days with no progress. I'm a bit worried it won't open. Not sure if there is anyway I could help though. I think the color is quite nice which it is showing.

A thing I do hate about these giants is that they struggle to keep an upright fan shape. These tend to lean or partially collapse under there weight. Then they even take more room 😒. My paph julius does this and it is so annoying. This cross though is a bit better in maintaining its shape.

Hahaha thank you. I hope it is worth the space if not it may have to go due to space being a valuable thing. However it would honestly have to be pretty terrible.

Now I'm not so sure it is Epidendrum parkinsonianum because of the growth pattern. Epidendrum grows then branches off the old growth not at the base of the plant but rather further down. The plant that is in question only seems to grow from the base of the pot/bark
