Paph In-Charm Topaz (Lisa x Davelle)

This one is flowering again -- 3 blooms this year. It is getting more yellow each day. Nice, open, welcoming shape. I am on the search for pollen to try for another cross. Last time I used the smaller sibling in the pot for a brachy cross. These are now seedlings in flask coming along nicely...

Stanhoepa tigrina nigroviolacea ‘Black Widow’ FCC/AOS

Hopefully some US growers will have a few spare back-bulbs in the spring. I have a nice Japanese maple I can hang the plant under in the summer. No problem with lights in winter -- I grow under lights in my basement and have no trouble with Tolumnia and Catts except for mealie bugs. I know...

Stanhoepa tigrina nigroviolacea ‘Black Widow’ FCC/AOS

Can these be grown well indoors? I used grow them outside back in South Africa... But the plants got huge.

    exul x tigrinum

Wow. There is only the slightest hint of pink at the end of the petals. It really washed out the color. The form is nice. I think self it and see what happens.

I don't know what you mean... but I use Brave Browser which deals with a lot of such annoyances for me.

Paph helenae crosspost from viet nam in situ

Critically Endangered seems a bit of a stretch. It doesn't seem to matter how many of these plants poachers collect there are always more, and it seems wider and wider spread than thought... But I think most of us have ample linebred plants now that there doesn't seem any reason for wild...

Wales - some photos from 2006

I had an aunt in Peebles. Had a big manor house: Hallyards. The black dwarf out front. It was cold. She would spend winters in South Africa. All her kids went to warmer climes. Keeping a green house warm in KY would be much cheaper.

Wales - some photos from 2006

I had a friend in Cornwall who would send lovely photos of the area. Hence my curiosity for Wales. I think most of us have seen parts of Devon through Doc Martin or Broadchurch. Shetland was good too for stories and scenery. Death in Paradise is nice watch too but kind of got a bit much when...

Wales - some photos from 2006

My experience of England is that once you get out the city into the country side it is a very beautiful place -- even if the sun isn't out. It is good to see photos of Wales. I know the coast is very scenic. It is good to see photos that are not for some tourist blog or the like but taken by...

What is the actual id of this Paph? Help me please...

Yes, now that I look closer at the tag you can make out an ( in front of primulinum. (P x h) seems a better guess based on the tag but please query this with the breeder. It does look exullish but I can see primulinum washing out the haynaldianum except for those sepal/petal spots and concolor...

What is the actual id of this Paph? Help me please...

    My guess is p × (h × c) because if it were (p × h) × c I would expect rounder flowers.

Paphiopedilum Saint Swithin (rothschildianum x philippinense frma. album) x delenatii frma. alba

What medium did you use? When you replace make sure no ethanol touches the the plants or gets into the replates. It is better to use hydrogen peroxide as service sterilant while working with the flasks if you have limited space.
