This plant has been frustrating. I mainly grow it for the foliage. The bud either blasts every year, or just fails to open. This is the most "open" I think I have ever gotten the flower so I am calling it a success.
Based on the photo I think it is definitely haynaldianum.

It has a change to be really good, or at least decent. The last generation of OZ roths had some very nice ones, when John C. took over and was blooming them out, he felt a third of them were award quality. But he was looking at 100s---your odds in the real world are probably much lower.
Eager to see the photo. I have had this plant for about 10 years. When Hadley visited back then I asked him to bring some whites and pinks with vigorous growth habit. Could not be happier with this selection!

Flowers are starting up again after the summer break.
