    Paph Season 2024

Not my cross but yes grown from a Tawain-sourced flask. I believe it was 'TN Queen' x self. One of the first flasks I ever grew (well half-flask), back in 2006--18 years! The plantlets were like 1-2cm across when I got them. I have 3-4 plants left, and this is the first plant that will bloom...

    Orchids 2024

Thanks. It is blooming on a very small plant so it is difficult to imagine this flower reaching those dimensions, but maybe there is potential for it to get back there.

Parentage is unknown, but I don't disagree. The AM is from 2001, so it's possible.

    Orchids 2024

Here is an older awarded clone and one that is not commonly seen--rothschildianum 'Alford' AM/AOS. I have had this plant for a very long time, and it is probably my slowest growing roth. The original clump fell into a few pieces over the years, and this is the first time one of them is...

    Paph rothschildianum first bloom

Decent DW for a first bloom. These measurements will all improve as the plant gets bigger.

    Orchids 2024

Yes Charles E is quite slow growing and takes a long time to flower. It was over 10 years to rebloom from when I first purchased it in spike. 'Borneo' by comparison is a more vigorous grower and much easier to bloom.
