Replated the smallest ones and deflasked the big ones— it yielded one small compot of seedlings!

I did my best to replate the smallest of the bunch and potted up the rest! I got two replates as well as five compots out of the mother flask

10 month update! These seedlings are MUCH smaller than my other homegrown Paph flask (multifloral x parvi) but they seem to be growing steadily. I’ve noticed some slight browning of old leaves, as well as what seems to be callus tissue that isn’t differentiating into full plants. I was planning...

It’s been about a year now since sowing— these plants are really putting on size now, and the largest of the bunch are beginning to show signs of browning on the oldest leaves (and I’m sure the heat we’ve had in NYC hasn’t helped!) Is it time to deflask them and replate the rest?

I made a similar backcross to godefroyae/leucochilum (album form) except with Jennifer Stage album. I got germination, so I would hope that this sort of backcross could work too.

i have some paph crosses planned for a Saint Swithin in the process of opening its flowers. i’ll spray it down this weekend and see what happens

at what concentration do you recommend? does this work for paphs too? also, does it have any effects on a flower’s ability to be pollinated/hold a capsule?
