I posted what I feel is another awesome orchid today, down in the non-slipper orchid photos. Really intriguing to have both of these in bloom at the same time, such a contrast, both stunning.

Was so pleased to see a spike emerging this year, as there was none last year. Two years ago it produced just 2 blooms, so am pleased to see 4 this time. Thought it interesting to photograph it while the 4th bud is just opening. Bought the plant from La Cour des Orchidees near Paris 3 years ago.
