    Paphiopedilum jackii ‘Zephyrus Jade’ HCC/AOS

Wonderful, I'm already curious! The tree have a slightly different colour intensity of their leaves. Is it reasonable to use that to predict the appearence of the flowers? Or has this just happened by chance or different conditions?

    My first PEOY

I wouldn't move it. I don't think you would loose it, but the flowers might turn in strange positions by following different light angels.

    Neem oil advice

I used neem oil in the past, never had negative effects on Paphs. Concerning mites you well can reduce but not extinct them. @Kate Boyce-Miles what are garlic smoke fumigators? Are they effective?

@Tom499 Unfortunately I have no wonder remedy for flowering. I just keep it with all my other Paphs, mostly sec. coryopetalum. There is only to mention that by growing in my living room, lots of artificial light and southfacing windows I have extrem hot conditions. In winter it is necer under...

    Amorphophallus

finally it is done! and the best thing is that it is not smelly as expected. To scent the putrid smell I have to stick my nose inside the spatha, 1 meter away it is absolutely neutral. Amorphophallus borneensis: Total hight without pot: 150cm; flower hight: 69cm

    Paphiopedilum supardii

Thank you all! I still wonder about the sugar droplets, as they are mainly on the sepals back and frontside. The polinators get rewarded before they do their duty?... seems strange to me, but maybe insects are more altruistic then men. @Martin The plant is form Elsner Orchideen, Germany. I...

    Paphiopedilum supardii

My supardii is blooming with five flowers, last time it were only three. It has a leafspan of 100 cm. What bothers me a bit are the guttation drops of sugar all over the flowers. I have no idea what causes it, as no other paph shows that effect.

    Resurrection Parvi

I agree, it's much easier and more secure for the plants if s.o. looks after them during my hollidays etc. I have a mutual agreement with a friend and that works out perfectly...
