JC Thank you for this idea, I had a lot or re-potting to do as well as some new seedlings and I decided to give the idea of using boiling water a try. It was a little extra work but in the long run I could tell that the potting mixture was staying moist longer. So I am now a convert to this...

This morning I noticed that there is another flower spike so soon there will be 2 spikes and I cannot wait to see if they are Addicted Phillip or Taiwan.

Poulsbo has 4 flowers, the first is just starting to open maybe another day or 2.

Not too bad now just wait for August when it will be in the 90's and 85% humidity.

High 80's and 60% humidity.

Troy for me in south Florida having vendors like Paul at Phelps and Thanh at Springwater to talk with is great. The weather is so hot and humid that its nice to know what I can grow outside and not worry about, especially slippers.

JC I agree, I run clean R/O through every weekend. I also soak the orchiata for a couple of hours before potting. Is using boiling water better? That is why I use these pots because it keeps the seedlings moist better than anything else I have tried. Now I cannot get any more so I am looking...

Very cool, I have never seen or heard of these before. The flower is so tiny but just exquisite.
