I grow all my phrag seedlings including kovachii and kovachii hybrids in pots that have a reservoir-these are very porous clay pots with drainage holes 1-1.5 inches from the bottom. It keeps them cooler and moist at all times. I also have a humidifier that keeps the humidity between 60-70%...

Sad, but there is always hope for the next blooming.

Just an update, I received the replacement "Addicted Phillip" about 3 weeks ago and placed it with some other paphs on my upstairs balcony. Today I turned it and discovered a flower spike-so I will know in the coming weeks if its another Taiwan or an Addicted Phillip. I'll post a new photo...

I think the photo makes it look a lot bigger than it is, the leaves are 4"-5" in length, which is normal for this species.

I purchased this phrag andreettae last May from Asendorfer - Orchideenzocht at the Redlands Show. It was just a little seedling and look at it one year later with it's first flower spike. I cannot wait to see the bloom and will post when it opens.

What a beautiful addition to your yard. Even if you "borrowed" the template the craftsmanship is amazing.
