House plants for (really) low light

I have recently moved apartments and after arranging my orchids and other plants by the windows I have now have some spaces left in dark corners which I would like to have something green. I don't have a light meter so I cannot give specifics, but an example would be 7-8 feet back in a west...

    Phragmipedium longifolium

This has been in constant bloom since March, with still one last bud to follow. Here is the thread with the first flower. http://www.slippertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46097 The new growth is monstrous, as I was warned! There is a secondary new growth starting as well. Hopefully I'll...

    Disa uniflora

I never get tired of Disa uniflora. A lovely species which will propagate quickly under the right conditions. I had a big tray of them for a time, and it was lovely when they all flowered at once. I grow them like Sarracenia in many respects, using a 50/50 peat/perlite media. Once its above...

I agree with Ray, that looks abit extreme for fertiliser burn.

    Phrag with stunted multiple growths

Good point Ray. I've just repotted into my preferred S/H culture. Roots don't look too bad, hopefully with the newer growths being in contact with the medium will trigger some new ones.
