    Paph. fairreanum

I wouldn't have noticed the pouch either. The dark colouring on the dorsal and petal tips really got my attention.

Another lovely Marriott/Koopman bloom - Paph. Luminance 'New World'

Koopman has a nice selection of whites. I saw quite a few when I visited the greenhouse in October. There isn't much on the website right now but I suspect he'll add more once the weather warms up.

Thank you. The picture really doesn't do it justice.

Paph. platyphyllum 'Super Clone x sib' first bloom

That second from the top flower shows a very good example of the angled pouch mentioned in the Orchid Digest article. Two of my flowers have angled pouches too.

Paph. platyphyllum 'Super Clone x sib' first bloom

Thank you so much for providing this article. This is turning into a very interesting thread. After reading some of the other replies I now find myself wondering if I also have one of the hybrids. I've just measured the longest leaf on the first growth of my plant and it is 40 cm long and 8-9 cm...

No, no fragrance that I can detect.

Paph. platyphyllum 'Super Clone x sib' first bloom

Thanks for that information. It'll be interesting to see how your Super Clone blooms. I was quite surprised to see five flowers on the first bloom on my plant but like I said, the plant is huge. Yes the leaves have been growing quite upright but the mature leaves on the blooming growth are more...

Paph. platyphyllum 'Super Clone x sib' first bloom

Sorry, no. Unfortunately Sam has retired and so has the seller who sold me the seedling. There must be some other Super Clones out there so maybe if we're lucky this thread will get someone's attention and they might have some information to offer. I'm curious too because this plant has grown so...

Thanks! The next judging here won't be until February I think so hopefully the blooms will last.

Yes, we are very fortunate. The new owner is keen to keep hybridizing too.

I really like the pale yellow pouch against the white flower. A keeper for sure!

Paph. Bella Luna from Marriott, now Koopman Orchids

Some of my Marriott/Koopman orchids are starting to bloom and I've been quite happy with them. I purchased this one in low bud in October. For those of you who didn't know, the Marriott seedlings were purchased by Koopman Orchids here in BC after much planning and a very long trip from North...

Paph. platyphyllum 'Super Clone x sib' first bloom

Got this as a seedling in February, 2020 and it now has a 30" ls with a large second growth and the start of a third growth. Super Clone is right! It originated from Sam however I purchased it from a nursery here in Canada. It still somehow fits under the lights on the lower shelf of my light...
