    Paphiopedilum fairrieanum

I always stop and look at the fairrieanums! Nice one.

    These are thrips, aren't they.

My plants are drying out faster too. I'm not a huge fan of alcohol, but have some other stuff on the way.

    Wanted Wanted Phrags.

While I agree with others that they are busy but have good plants etc, if you do get any plants from them, keep them separate for a long while and just do some preventative treatments... my latest purchase was from them in September (my first from them ever!) and I am 90% sure that's where my...

I actually thought that too. I appreciate the clarification!

    Bc Little Birds

This is an older thread, but I never updated it with both blooms open, so here they are! The whole flowers became more saturated, including the lips. These blooms are long gone, but the plant has 3 new sheaths emerging!

    your oldest orchids

I have only been seriously expanding my collection and orchid knowledge for the last 2-3 years, but prior to that I really liked orchids as a kid/teen. I had a small varied collection that my parents helped me buy at around 10 years old, but all perished (though I have no memory of that. Just...

    Paph Butterscotch Leopard

That's pretty cute! I'm assuming it has some helenae influence, without looking up the backgrounds of its parentage. I'm a fan!

    Cypripedium montanum in situ

Haha no worries, this thread is resurrected for a couple of days!

    Cypripedium montanum in situ

The ones I had in my back yard were bigger, and also greener, so it's really interesting that these were maybe half a block away and so small and perfect!

    Quarantine questions

It's a wild montanum!! I visit them in my old neighborhood in Montana every year if I can. They grew abundantly in my back yard while living there. This particular one was in a roadside ditch! Here's the post I made about it: Thread 'Cypripedium montanum in situ'...

    These are thrips, aren't they.

Haha thank you! Okay, that is great to know! It would be a weekly treatment at this point?

    Quarantine questions

    Welcome!! Good question.

    These are thrips, aren't they.

Also a good idea! And very simple. If I'm treating regularly anyway something like this might work no problem

    Cattleya eldorado ‘Mt Ito’

Really gorgeous color. A keeper for sure!
