Love it! The dimple just makes it even more unique :)

Keeping this for posterity, might lose my whole collection

That is absolutely heartbreaking. I can't imagine how awful you must feel helplessly watching your beloved plants die because of someone's stupidity. Thank goodness he didn't end up burning down the entire row home. I think you should sue him for damages.

    Paphiopedilum Mint Chocolate 'Chip' AM/AOS

My Mint Chocolate had a good day at our monthly judging yesterday earning an AM with a score of 86 points. It's been a reliable bloomer for me for the past few years, however, covid shut down our monthly judging for nearly two years so this was the first opportunity I had to present it for...

    Paph. Mint Chocolate 'Chip' AM/AOS

Yes it is. The judges thought at first that it was a hangianum hybrid but they detected a faint malipoense fragrance so that confirmed it. They commented that it got the best of both parents!

    Paph. Mint Chocolate 'Chip' AM/AOS

I'm very humbled to have had this paph awarded with a score of 86 points at our monthly judging yesterday. It was gifted to me as a seedling by the seller near the end of our show and sale five years ago when he asked me if I had Mint Chocolate yet. I said no and he placed this beautiful little...

    Paph sanderianum

I always think of my mom reading me my favourite story as a little girl when I see this one. "Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair." This is absolutely one of my most favourite paphs and I too have been lucky enough to bloom one. Pictures do not do it justice. Yours is just beautiful and looks...

What's Everyone's Experience with Paphiopedilum vietnamense?

It's like a teenage girl! (Which I once was.......) With that said, I've had my vietnamense since 2013 and I got it to bloom quite easily twice in the early days. Then it became extremely temperamental. I repotted it in Orchiata/perlite/pumice/charcoal a couple years ago and it's been bouncing...

That's a really nice little helenae, even with its beauty mark. I love how it stands so tall above the wee foliage.

Paph. liemianum is back in bloom with triplets!

1/4 tsp per gallon usually twice a week but sometimes only once a week in the cool, damp winters.

Paph. liemianum is back in bloom with triplets!

Thank you for all your kind comments everyone. I've had the plant for a few years. It was a division from a larger plant belonging to a very good paph grower in my orchid society. I've been growing it under T8's but it also gets some supplemental lighting from the skylight above my light stands...
