Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba…need info about?

It is a named clone but something that looks similar and doesn’t cost an arm and another arm price wise would be fine! I am dreadfully house poor. Yeah, really turned on by it, but most semi alba forms of Laelia purpurata are lovely (especially the coerulea, werkhauseri, Uba Tuba, carnea) Ha Ha...

Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba…need info about?

Sorry this took so long, the photo I had didn’t have the right extension so wouldn’t upload. Had to find another pic online and not easy! Twenty million varieties popped up.

Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba…need info about?

Ecuagenera USA has it for $35 I have to think that after the fees they charge for using your card and fees for the importing paperwork they do for you, the price will be about the same lol! It makes more sense to use the main Ecuagenera with larger orders

Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba…need info about?

Glad they may make a good beginner Cat plant!! I love they have many beautiful variations! I fell in love with Laelia Purpurata var. Werkhauseri. It is unfortunately now out of my price range! I never ever see it available for under $100.00. I can still afford other variations like rubra, vini...

Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba…need info about?

I have been lusting for Laelia Purpurata in many different variations for years!! My newest heart throb is Laelia Purpurata Uba Tuba! WOW!! Can some of you folks who grow Cattleya Alliance Orchids tell me about this plant?? I have had great success with Phal’s and lately doing well with Phrags...

Having had weather damage beloved plants, I suggest covering with a sheet if they are in ground, or take them temporarily indoors

Paphiopedilum bellatulum 'SVO x Paphiopedilum Johanna Burkhart 'SVO'

May I add that one was a seedling and the other was climbing…the roots coming out of new growths (which were a lot higher up than the original growth) were destined to die. I took it to a prominent Paph grower in MN who pronounced it “Very Strange and Not Good!!!” He had no solution! Reminds me...

Paphiopedilum bellatulum 'SVO x Paphiopedilum Johanna Burkhart 'SVO'

Well, as another Paph noob (I grew two unsuccessful) I prefer the one posted at the top of this thread much more than the Fred Clark’s photo! No offence to Fred Clark but I like the deeper more saturated colour

    New experience on Phragmi.

Ha ha…MN here! We have a Similar climate so YES! I am watering every other day right now! Flush once weekly and scrub clean the saucers! I have a fan which sucks out humidity from the attic and works as an exhaust fan for my stove. It actually will suck humidity out of the air if running...

    New experience on Phragmi.

I keep water in the saucers of my Phrags that are Kovachii and Besseae primary hybrids. They are happiest that way! Mine are also windowsill, but no heat vents. An OLD Victorian Farmhouse. Very cool in winter-floor underneath is not insulated. Temps in 60’s. Summer temps can be a challenge! I...

    Even another new growth!

OMG! Both Longifolium and Ecuagenera Gigi have ANOTHER NEW Growth!! Pardon for yelling but it makes me so happy!!! So Ecuagenera Gigi now has 2 med growths and 2 tiny growths! Longifolium has 2 tiny growths! So 6 babies on only 2 Phrags! Plus 1 tiny growth on Hannah Popow and 2 on Ecuagenera Dream!

    Looks like Fritz on steroids

    A little Fritz action

I lost my Fritz! It rotted away so fast it was scary! I was told it was due to unusually high temps We had week long 90°+ heat waves…less than a week another would hit! I love warm weather and I was ready to die too 1890’s old Victorian farmhouse…no air conditioning. I have since gotten lots of...

    Pink Sky

Ha, I would definitely take on a seedling! I used to be terrified of seedlings until a Paph expert gave me a free Phal seedling (I was in a repotting class, and we all got one) I was told that it would be red or Orange when an adult! Well, 6 years later, I had an obviously dwarf Phal which was...
