Main Street Orchids and Deep Cut Orchid Show

It was my understanding that Main Street was suppose to be a vendor at the Deep Cut show but I was just told that they just closed down. Does anyone have any further information on this? Went to their website but nothing there, nor are there but 2 plants listed. Seems a little unbelievable to...

    Paph canhii

Eric, to my knowledge there is no media in a kool-log. I received a masdevalia on one and just water it every day in the warmer months and maybe every other day in the winter.

    Red Phrags

Very nice, I particularly like the Fox Valley Fireball.

    First Deflasking: Paph. spicerianum

Good job! They seem to be doing just fine. Lots of new growth, what more can one ask for?

    NCOS PAPH FORUM 2024

I seem to be a little confused when it comes to Woodstream and their flask. I got a price list that says they only have 3 each flask available. I also see that they brought a couple of flasks of each to this event. So do they only have 3 flasks available? To me, that seems a bit ridiculous.

Companies/people who can flaks seeds USA

Don't know if he is in the tread that Darlene is referring to but don't forget our own Drorchid. I saw ones of his many flasks recently and they looked great.

Paph. Ice Age x Pacific Shamrock

I personally like white flowers including this one. I don't know what are doing to keep a complex flower fresh for 2 to 3 months as you predict. I can't keep them that long even when I keep them in my very cool greenhouse (55 degrees). Please share your secret with me.

    Tamiami Orchid Festival

I was wondering if any of our members will be attending this event on Jan 12th - the 14th, (tamiamiorchidfestival.com) Particularly would like to connect with someone that lives somewhat locally. I understand that in Charm as well as Ching Hua will be there.

Congratulations. That appears to be a pretty large flower.

    Wanted Phragmipedium Besseae Var Flavum

Woodstream Orchids has them for sale at the moment. May not be listed but shoot them an e-mail. Just understand that they may be near blooming size but still very small. Ask about leaf span so you won't be disappointed.

    Phragmipedium Ouaisne ‘James’

Kate, that is a really beauty. Something to appreciate in your collection. Good growing on both your self and your husband.

    Madame Casiello #2

That is very nice. Don't remember you posting of the first one to flower, but I may have missed it.

    Paph. QF Burgundy Blush

Great flower. I'd be more than happy with that. I assume that the grower was Quantal Farms but can your share where you purchased your beauty?

    Paph spicerianum

Looks and sounds interesting. Will the owner let you pull of the pouch at a later date, so that you can self it?

    Wanted Paph fairrieanum album

If you do ebay, twculbertson may be able to help you. He currently has a regular fairrieanum listed. I may be wrong, but I believe Tim is (working/volunteering?) at Sunsetvalley Orchids.
