    Another Paph helenae

This one was blooming size when I got it more than three years ago. Most of its siblings have bloomed in the first two years under my care. I like the dark colors in this one. Worth the wait.

    Paphiopedilum barbigerum album

I got two flasks of these from Troy Meyers a few years ago. This is the first plant to bloom but there are a couple more in low bud. One flask is still potted up as a compot and has three plants in low bud.

Paphiopedilum Munchkin Ojo The Lucky (Memoria Matthew P Dewitt x delenatii). I made this cross back in 2015... this is the first to bloom. I’m surprised by the color. It’s very hard to photograph accurately. Here are the parents

(Paph Fumi’s Delight x Paph concolor fma striatum)

A few new photos... the second bud has opened which is amazing considering how small the plant is. This plant is potted in a 2.25” x 2.25” pot.

    Paphiopedilum hermannii

As you are aware the consensus is natural hybrid elevated to species. Personally I could go with species from the beginning.

Hi Leslie I would say it’s a yellow flower overlaid with dark mahogany.

(Paph Fumi’s Delight x Paph concolor fma striatum)

This is the first of this cross to bloom. It was made by Clinton Lewis of Orchid Dynasty in Utah. The concolor fma striatum was a very unusual color and I managed to acquire a division of it for myself. The concolor fma striatum (pollen parent) used in this cross: Photo of (Paph Fumi’s Delight...

Paphiopedilum Mystic Isle (Paph niveum x Paph Greyi)

Paphiopedilum Munchkin King Cheeriobed (acmodontum x King Charles)

I made this cross 5/2015. Pretty nice first bloom. I’d like to make it again if I could find some pollen from a very good King Charles.

1st International Vanda and Slipper Orchid Symposium

I go every year for a long time now. Great time to meet up with people from around the country and around the world. Vendors are good and I always come home with new stuff. As you probably know.... Frank Smith puts this on and he almost never has his own stuff there for sale because he doesn’t...
