    New seedlings

I just got some flasks back from my flasker. For some reason, I think that these seedlings are quite happy. LOL Tyler

    Paph adductum ‘Roos Tarpals’

Well please keep us updated with developments. Hopefully it IS adductum and will reward your efforts.

    Paph adductum ‘Roos Tarpals’

Hi Jim, thanks. I grow them fairly shaded, nothing like roths or lowii, more like Complex Paph light. The media is large and chunky to accommodate my heavy handed watering. Balanced fertilizer and temp from 85-58, 58 being well below the natural range but they still persist. I bet if I kept the...

Paph Barbie’s Candy x Paph Little Stevie

Kinda of sounds like one that Arnold Klehm would have made.

    Paph adductum ‘Roos Tarpals’

Not something you see that often anymore. This reliably blooms for me every three years, haha! Wish it was more often but these things grow so slow. Tyler

    Paph purpuratum

Been open for a week and very little recurve. I’m a happy dude! Maybe next time the pouch wont look like Mike Tyson took a swing. Tyler

    Habenaria Canary

Maybe the one that flowered at the time of naming was more yellow. I’m partial to this intense orange though.

    Wishful thinking…..

I saw this particular Mexi in bloom and immediately thought I had something special. No color in the flower but the stolons do. Oh well. Tyler

Just going off of the tag that came with the thing, that came from you. Lol Not sore about it, just slightly annoyed.

Some of my Mexipedium are blooming :)

As the saying goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat. I grow mine super bright, like Cattleya bright. 50/50 bark/perlite, dryout for a day between watering which translates to two to three times a week. Heavy feeders. Tony grows them WAAAY better than me so maybe he will chime in. Tyler

Another of my hybrids has bloomed: Paph Stephen Male

Some more pics of the top flower.

Another of my hybrids has bloomed: Paph Stephen Male

Yes it IS that dark! Quite striking if I do say. The spike had a third bud but it blasted three weeks ago when we had 112°F temps and the greenhouse could not keep up. These plants were very easy to grow and there are maybe a dozen that will bloom for me next season and the balance the year...

    Dendrobium amboinensis

Orchidmouse, I got it off ebay actually three years ago. I’ll try and dig up the vendor but I do remember reaching out when I got it, asking for more and there were none. The plant was selfed…..so fingers crossed. Tyler

    Dendrobium amboinensis

The canes very much remind me of Den tetragonum and the flowers like a showier version of Den falcorostrum. With falcorostrum being my #1 choice to hybridize with amboinensis to hopefully give the flowers a little bit of longevity and wider growing temps. Yes, it flowers once a year and is at...
