    Any particular variety of moss...

Yes very easy. Keep it completely submerged for 24 hours. Even overnight will probably work. It drowns everything except the moss.

    What is it?

I'm not worried enough about it to bother. I just bought a flask of those round yellow concolors off him. ....here's hoping! The parents are below (the supposed parents that is) I've bought flasks with parent pics like this before and no way were they correct when I saw the flower. I basically...

One is a huge multi growth award winning caudatum and the other an as-yet un-flowered multi-growth kovachii amoungs others. The owner uses a 22-5-18 with the N...

    Food for paphs and phrags?

Not a chemist but it's not the fact that it absorbs water that's the problem, it's the precipitates that could form. Dissolve some in a glass of water and if it all dissolves in a short amount of time it should be fine to use. If some particles form and stay at the bottom of the glass, the...

    Paph emersonii

Tanaka says that emersonii loves water like armeniacum. ''Never dry''. . Since I've been keeping my armeniacums moist to wet all year they are thriving with multiple stolons forming. So my couple of emersoniis will get the same. They also seem to respond to lots of oxygenated water via a mist...

    Dendrobium cordiformis (PNG)

Most of the room is taken up by length. I suspect it could get to 1.5 metres eventually (if unpruned).
