    Brachypetalum paphs

Why do you think a lot of people have trouble with them? (Based on the responses here and on fb) Temperature too cold? Esp in a greenhouse?

    Paph. Hung Sheng Thaianum

A cross of bellatulum and thaianum. Bought as a single growth plant a few years ago but now has grown into 3 multigrowth divisions. This is the first to bloom this year. The other 2 are in bloom / bud. Will post another photo with all 3 in bloom.

    Brachypetalum paphs

Of pests you mean? I have never had to deal with any I guess. I am super careful when introducing new plants. When I see signs of minor mites problem I just spray all the plants with water mixed with a few drops of soap. I do that for a couple weeks and they’re gone. Some people have problems...

    Another Paph. bellatulum

I feed very very lightly. 1/8 tsp per gallon of tap water probably 2 times a month. I alternate between miracle gro and calcium nitrate but no fixed schedule. I've just recently bought Kelpak so I cant tell yet if it's working. I plan to use it every month at the recommended 1 tbsp per gallon of...

    Brachypetalum paphs

Why is it that not many people grow brachys? At the recently concluded Toronto orchid show, there were no brachys on display. And there were only 2 bellatulums for sale that obviously went home with me! Is it because people find the mostly white flowers boring?

    Paph. leucochilum x thaianum

Definite improvement over last blooming. Sam thinks it’s the best he’s seen of the cross. Not the fastest grower though

I grow them under lights in constantly warm temps. They certainly grow slower and are a bit more finicky than the other brachys. Maybe it really just depends on the particular clone? Try to get some more from different sources! You’re an amazing grower and have an amazing growing environment...

    Another Paph. bellatulum

Another Paphiopedilum bellatulum just opened. Quite different from the one I posted a few days ago. First bloomer.

    Kelpak / Kelpmax on paphs

That’s phenomenal! What about for encouraging root growth on Paphs? So every 2 weeks then? Can I use it year round since I grow under lights?

    Kelpak / Kelpmax on paphs

What’s your experience with kelpak on paphs? I know they work wonders for catts and phals, but do they work as well with paphs? Thanks!

    Paph. bellatulum ‘Despereaux’

At the very least you get normal conco-bellatulums which are very pretty and not often sold anymore

    Paph. bellatulum ‘Despereaux’

He said the parents are yellow bellatulums. Pure bellatulums. They had “yellow” clonal Names
