    A pair of thaianums

While not the greatest form, Paph thaianum 'Tiny Tot' has bloomed twice while maintaining a 3 inch (7.5 cm) leaf span. The other is a first time bloomer.

Paphiopedilum Mem. Joan Levy ‘Crystelle’ AM/AOS (81 points)

Sometimes its difficult to get a good photo.

More anticipation: thaianum '#1' x sukhakulii

Interesting. Here is the reciprocal of the cross. those with the thaianum as parent seem to have more rounded petals

Paphiopedilum Munchkin King Cheeriobed (acmodontum x King Charles)

Most likely the Paph Hellas in the background of King Charles influenced the size on this seedling.

    Awards from the Strongsville Show

Just read this thread. The plant in question, C. Pink Diamond, was made and registered by Peter T. Lin of Diamond Orchids in California. He has been producing some incredible mini and micro Cattleyas. I purchased several seedlings of various crosses from him. In my opinion, I am almost 100%...

Amazing! Glad I caught this one.

    Paphiopedilum leucochilum ‘OREO’ AM/AOS

Congratulations! The color is stunning. It's good to see these darker leucochilums are now available in the U.S. I'm curios to see what kind of influence they can have in hybrids.

Paph Doll's Kobold ('FV #1' x 'RIP Mokey'), F2 Generation

I only have one of my plant, 'FV #1'. Bob may have posted a picture of 'RIP Mokey' in Slippertalk back around 2009 or 2010

Paph King Goldemar (Doll's Kobold X Little by Little)

It's the only one that I bloomed with a white dorsal background.

Paph Doll's Kobold ('FV #1' x 'RIP Mokey'), F2 Generation

I'm not sure if I posted these before. I made an F2 generation cross back in 2010, using my best Doll's Kobold as the seed parent and using pollen from Bob in Albany. The best came out with more red in the dorsal.

Paph King Goldemar (Doll's Kobold X Little by Little)

Thanks for the nice comments. #1('Deerwood' AM/AOS) and #5 ('Deerwood Giant' HCC/AOS) have been awarded. I have used 'Deerwood' quite a bit in breeding and have just used '11-22B' as a seed parent. It is smaller and I like the petal color.

It was very gracious of you to ferry me around. There are a lot of great Paph enthusiasts in the D.C. area. I had a great time!

Curt and Jenn moved up to North Carolina. As a result, we haven't been to the Orlando event. It's good to hear from you, Bob

All are from the same seed capsule.

One of my favorite things about hybrids is the variation one can get from a cross.

I have been off Slippertalk for the past few years, lurking and reading some of the threads, so I thought I'd introduce myself to the newer members. My name is Ross Hella and my wife and I are owners of Deerwood Orchids. We specialize in breeding compact/miniature Paphiopedilums.
