Certainly the truth with this species in my experience.

    Doll's Kobold

Very much a 'goldilocks' bloom, not too spindly, not too chunky, just right. Dorsal is quite special too, well spotted with little background colour, the white background serves to accentuate the spots. Pouch neatly shaped with clean uniform colour. Overall a nicely balanced bloom...

    Paph. Bailey's Bid

Nice, is it what you were hoping for/expecting?

    Yang-Ji Apple #2

The 4th of the season, Not as high flower count as the first, but good colour, strong dorsal and the petals without that nasty side effect from adductum (no crossed legs)

    Kolopakingii#2

One of my better kolos. Only a single spike, but the blooms are large (about 25% larger than my others and well coloured)

    Vanguard

This always cheers me up. Something about the bold dorsal and the bright pouch. (always thought it wanted to meet Doll's Kobold or henryanum)

    new seedling

Great prospects! I would love to see this re-flowered on a more mature plant.

No Rick, I purchased a collection in Holland and this was one of the plants. I struggled with all the plants as when I imported them, they languished in a refrigerator over a Easter long weekend at the airport. :( Growing well now though. I am definitely considering using it though.

    Cattleya sincorana ''Mountain''

My kind of plant, harsh desert conditions and an awesome bloom. Perhaps it will grow up at the farm? Now to find some plants .......

    Angraecum leonis

    The simple truth!

    Paphiopedilum Lady Isabel

How can you not love a lady? Great petal stance, pleasing dorsal, and the whole improved by the subdued colour. Truly lovely!

    Paphiopedilum herrmannii

    beautiful photo!

    Reverend Philip Lamothe

I thought it might be of interest. I suspect many will not open the post as they don't recognize the name:( The blooms are large, perhaps it holds a bit of promise to move forward with a pink multi that grows easy?

    Yang-Ji Apple

Thank you all, I have another two in spike/bloom at the moment. The one in full bloom has much smaller blooms and looks very tame beside this, so I did not bother posting its picture. The other is just starting to open, it looks as if the blooms are darker and perhaps a bit larger (I will post...

    More bud progressions

    Some exciting prospects there

Which class? Paph Mary's Little Leopard

Congratulations! That is a very attractive little hybrid, anything with henryanum in its background is going to be difficult to slot into a classical judging schedule.

    Bel Royal

Thank you all. It does take up a lot of space, but also flowers reasonably easily and regularly. :)
