    Catasetum Fong Cing

Wow, those blooms are huge AND gorgeous! What a great hybrid!!
  2. Dandrobium

    Phrag. reticulatum

I was thinking of crossing this with besseae to make Geigelstein. Every pic I've seen of one looks like they used v. flavum though. I have a b. flavum in low bud, but no pollen stored yet. Anyone seen pics of Geigelstein cross using red besseae?

Such a nice species, and yes, great form on this one!

    tigrinum

Awesome tigrinum! Great culture! I'm trying this species now and growing it like Cattleya. I'll be sure to cool it down this winter -- that won't be a problem :)

Gorgeous flower, I love the saturated pink!

    Phrag. reticulatum

I picked this one up at our local show this past spring. I grow it the same as nearly all my other phrags, in semi hydro by a bright east window. 15F drop at night down to 60F or so. It just opened up a few days ago.

Paphiopedilum fairrieanum (Dark Stripes x Red Zebra)

I agree, the dorsal is quite striking! This is a tough one to grow it seems... Any new growths/starts?

Wow! Great culture AdamD! How much light/feed do you give it? I have my first spike finally with 15 buds (same progression as the pic) but only the one spike. The plant is just now starting to yellow its leaves

    Phragmipedium besseae

Yes, amazing colour and great form! Always great plants from JohnM!

Very cool hybrid! I also like the colour contrast!

    Paph philippinense

Great job Wendy! Lovely blooms! Do you grow it on the warmer side? I keep mine basically at intermediate temps but it seems slow...

    Paph. fairrieanum

I can't say necessarily that the fairrieanum does well, but its holding up so far. My troubled paph experiments in S/H include: SS seedling, now in coarse bark mix, doing well Ho Chi Minh, crown rot, stopped with Phyton and still in S/H sanderianum seedling, now dead wardii alba, recovering in...

    Paph. fairrieanum

Thanks! It is a tiny plant, around 6" LS. I bought it as a small seedling and have had it for nearly 2 years so it hasn't done a whole lot of growing. I've always had it in S/H and last I checked the root system was okay. Some paphs for me do not seem to enjoy it, but it's so convenient for...
  19. Dandrobium

    Paph. fairrieanum

This bud was a few months in the works, but it was worth the wait. First bloom on a single growth, so needless to say, its getting lopped off soon. It would be nice if there were multiple growths/starts, but nothing yet.

    anguloi x besseae = Teson's Gothic Cathedral

    Wonderful bloom! Congrats!
