  1. Dandrobium

    Paph. mastersianum

Thanks everyone. It definitely isn't the speediest grower, but it hasn't been too difficult either. It seems to prefer intermediate-warm temperature and slows down in the cool winter conditions it gets from me. That can be arranged!
  2. Dandrobium

    Paph. mastersianum

Thanks Leslie! Yeah it's a nice species. I have some smaller seedlings as well from a flask from Ching Hua I bought a couple years ago. They are likely 1-2 years away from BS. This one is from Forest View out of BC. Unfortunately they don't mention the parents of their seedlings.

    Paph. mastersianum

I grew this one from a seedling for about 3 years. Still only a single growth, but thankfully that didn't stop it from blooming!

    Phragmipedium Early Surprise

    Gorgeous! And very healthy plant!

    Phrag Don Wimbur

Wow! Can't say I've ever seen one presented or potted like this!
  6. Dandrobium

    Phragmipedium humboldtii

Great job! Whats your culture regimen for it? Potting mix?

    Paphiopedilum hirsutissimum var esquilorei

    A tetraploid Jason Fischer

Wow, its gorgeous! Along with the FS too! I love the velvety red
  10. Dandrobium

    Paph parishii

I've been flasking for a while, with varying success. Attached is a recent attempt. I find dendrobium much more predictable (or at least more willing to germinate). I just sowed some parishii selfing seeds last week on 1/2 M&S with 50ml/L coconut water. I presoaked the seeds in coconut water...

    Paph parishii

This seems to be a more challenging species. Your patience definitely paid off! I haven't tried a basket for this one but its a good idea. I killed one and bought another one in bud last summer thats still doing well. Similar breeding from Sam, although I can't recall the parents. The new growth...

    Paph.parishii ('Jeanie' x 'Andy')

Wonderful result! Great growing and getting it to flower! Sam's parishii are always nice

    Gorgeous flower!
  14. Dandrobium

Another fab Fritz from the Fischer’s.

It would be tough to improve on that!
  15. Dandrobium

    Paph parishii

Wonderful!! Great job growing it. Did you change any conditions to get it to flower this year?
  16. Dandrobium

    Paphiopedilum tranlienianum fm. album

Very cool! Never seen the albino form of this one before
  17. Dandrobium

    Fairrieanum albums Trio

Great job growing these! It is a tough species to get right, for me at least :)
  18. Dandrobium

    Paph. phillipinense alba

    Very nice indeed!
  19. Dandrobium

    Paph. adductum

Good to know. Yes, it did look great back in late May when it bloomed :) Some roots are still ok, but I'm down to 2 growths with 1 leaf each left, and a tiny little nubbin of a start. Fingers crossed. Glad to see these are doing well for you! Keep it up!
  20. Dandrobium

    Paph. adductum

Thanks Ibn. Yes, perhaps it was not a big enough clump. There was a small new growth, mature growth in bloom, and one leaf remaining on the oldest growth. Hopefully it pulls through. I've sown the seeds as insurance :) Great pics BTW!
