Thanks for posting this! Great to see the displays! I spoke with Doug and Terry Kennedy this weekend at our show, and they mentioned that a kovachii was awarded recently in Montreal. Its nice to see a pic of it. We had a grower here bring in a freshly opened kovachii to the show this past...

    Masdevallia nicaraguae

Hey Eric, most cool growers are easy over the winter here, it's the summer that is challenging in keeping these types alive (unless you grow in a basement or somewhere naturally cool and humid). Clay pots really help
  11. Dandrobium

    Phrag longifolium

    Lovely colour!
  12. Dandrobium

    Dendrobium scabrilingue

Thanks Naoki. I have similar conditions to yours, although slightly warmer and lower humidity. Many of these types do not take a full winter rest, so it sounds like your culture resembles the typical for the section. Wonderful plant and great growing!

  14. Dandrobium

    Dendrobium scabrilingue

Great photos! I particularly like this section of dendrobium. What conditions do you grow yours in Naoki? Any seasonal variation?
  15. Dandrobium

    Phrag kovachii

Those roots look great! Interesting how the charcoal precipitated out. You mention you used P658 at half strength, which would also cut the agar down to 4g/L. Cool experiment! How is the growth rate? You may have to replate sooner with the charcoal being bound up at the bottom of the flask...
