    Paph insigne 'Harefield Hall'

David, My three plants were purchased from 3 different sources but I believe two may have originally come from the same source. I'm not holding my breath but the best prospect I have is a plant that is said to have been purchased from Ratcliffe's 40 years ago. The leaves on this plant are...

    Paph insigne 'Harefield Hall'

David, I don't know what this flower is but it's very nice. I have read so much conflicting information about 'Harefield Hall' it's difficult to say. I have three different clones tagged 'Harefield Hall', two of which are in bud now for the first time. The description of the plant in the...

    Paph insigne 'Harefield Hall'

I read somewhere that 'Harefield Hall' has a chromosome count of 2N=39. I wonder how they could be sure they were doing a chromosome count on 'Harefield Hall' ? Mick

100,000 Chinese Cops in Wildlife Raids.

Its a huge improvement on what has been happening in the past, I hope they keep it up. I also hope Vietnam lifts its game. Vietnam beefed up their wildlife legislation in 2010 but we see little enforcement. Mick

100,000 Chinese Cops in Wildlife Raids.

No mention of plants in this article, lets hope they shut down some of the plant smugglers or that they are next on the list. http://wildlifenews.co.uk/2012/100000-police-take-part-in-chinese-wildlife-raids/

Very nice! I have a piece of this and it did'nt flower this year so I think its good growing on your part. I'm kicking myself. Last year Johnston Orchids had 6 single growth Delrosis at the SAROC fair @ $10 each but as I had caught the train into town, I couldn't be bothered carrying them back...

Part 3 Photos. Mites that thrive in humid conditions and orchid fleck virus

Due to the size of these critters (228 microns long) and the fact that they don't make webs, they are difficult to identify in a collection. A couple of informative pages: http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/orn/mites/Brevipalpus_californicus.htm...
