    Leomesezia sic! For Oncidium sarcodes now is Gomesa, which gives Gomguezia (!) with Rdza. lanceolata, which in turn makes Leomesezia when crossed with a Leochilus ... good old Howeara!

    It's a beautiful flower! My first impression was that it could well be a Bc. Binosa. But both - Binosa and Hippodamia - have quite a lot of variation, so, without a closer look it is impossible for me to be sure.

    Howeara (Leomesezia) Lava Burst by Secun, on Flickr A difficult candidate for the camera. Only with an extra of light there is a chance to get an decent image, with nearly true colours. Very dark raspberry with underlying orange markings. 22mm x 16mm across and a light scent.
