My CP's plus a few orchids

Some random pictures from the past few days, being sick stinks but it did afford me some extra time to work with the plants. My new N. truncata, this particular plant is actually going to be grown like an ordinary houseplant in a south facing window The Beast (N. truncata) by Mike Fallen, on...

My CP's plus a few orchids

Yeah, they really need full sun for most of the day to properly color up and do well. I had these plants in an in-ground bog for the last two years and they would become "floppy" since they didn't get nearly as much sun as they get now. Much happier with how they look this spring!

    Porpax ustulata

Awesome! I haven't had great luck with these either.

My CP's plus a few orchids

Hey guys! for those interested, I was able to find the link to the instructions I used to build my cooling system. I'm out of town at the moment so I'm unable to get pictures of my personal setup but I will as soon as I get back. http://edencps.com/diy-air-conditioner/ In the meantime...

My CP's plus a few orchids

Thanks everyone! I'll need to go get some pictures of the cooling system, I actually based it off of a guide I found online from another Nepenthes grower but I had to scale up multiple components to accommodate the size of my chamber (the original design was used for more of a terrarium sized...

My CP's plus a few orchids

Hi guys! Just thought I'd share some pics of my collection! I got rid of most of my slippers last year, I do still have a few here and there but I've mostly focused on tropical pitcher plants (Nepenthes) and cool growing pleurothallid orchids. This grow tent is set up to achieve night...

    Wanted: Dendrobium cuthbertsonii

Hey guys! I know it's not a slipper, but I've had little to no luck finding this plant other than the 4 Ecuagenera clones that surface from time to time (and even out if those, I've been unable to find the 'pink' clone). I've seen many pictures of amazing color forms (bicolor, yellow, white...

    Orchid Zone amazing seller.

Well, I thought I would add my experiences to this thread since I recently purchased 2 plants from OZ via eBay. One was a buy it now listing, sight unseen and the other was an selected individual plant auction. My first purchase was one of the Phrag. kovachii seedlings they have listed. I made...

    Done with Orchid Zone

I bought a Cattleya coccinea from them several months ago over eBay and it was poorly packaged (especially considering they charged me $20 for shipping a plant in a 3" pot), I thought it may have been a one-off occurrence... Apparently not. I'm glad I happened across this thread. I was...

    Plants for sale or trade!

Hello, I've been extremely busy for the last few months and it's been getting harder and harder to properly care for my slipper collection so I've made the decision to get rid of them. I really hate to see plants get neglected and I'd feel really bad if they end up dying because I don't have...

    My Blooming Pinguicula

Glad to see there are other CP growers on here! I'd say it's either P. moranensis or one of the many moranensis hybrids that are commonly available. Nonetheless, it's a very pretty plant!
