    manzurii x richteri

I just can't resist commenting when I see a Phrag in need of repotting especially when it's grown by a pro :poke: :)
  2. Silvan

    manzurii x richteri

The caudatum "group" is all seperated so I thought that it was more lax with Phragmipedium... ;)

    Waunakee Wonder x dalessandroi

Very nice. Another one to the wish list.. :rollhappy: I actually like the pointed dorsal. It adds to the overall symmetry of the flower.

    manzurii x richteri

Ok I understand. I meant, Beside the colour and the type of leaves (Wössen as more of a grasslike foliage) there isn't enough difference to this cross compared to Wössen (and other crosses made with manzurii) to say that manzurii could stand as it's own species. Sorry, english is not my first...

    manzurii x richteri

This is very interesting! Is the colour stable with that cross or it's an oddity? You must be psyched! Since the cross didn't produce a "wössen" type flower, would you reconsider the status of manzurii as a species instead of a variety? What else have you cross your manzurii with? caudatum...

    Paphiopedilum leucochilum

Very nice. Congrats on blooming it! You seem to grow it better than me even though we have similar growing environment. :) Would you mind sharing the LS and NS? Thanks.

    Chiu Hua Dancer 2016

Gorgeous plant and flower. Your leaves are so pristine! What is the LS? It looks compact. I'm sure it will soon. Mine started and we got our plants around the same time ;)

    Flask of Wenshanense aureum

Those albums/aureum are very finicky. I find them very prone to all sorts of rots. Don't overfertilize them and good luck! :)

A problem Phrag. and need advice

I grow all the species that composes that cross plus the Hanne Popow and they all love to be sitting in water. Also, Phrags that don't like too much water grow poorly and get yellowing leaves and weird spotting due to the roots that are rotting. Have you tried growing in a sphagnum moss/coarse...

A problem Phrag. and need advice

Are you seriously thinking about getting rid of your plant just because it has leaftip dieback? It seems like a very interesting cross. You should bloom it first before doing anything too drastic ;) I find crosses made with schlimii are more sensible to this. When I grew Sedenii I was able to...

    Paph. rungsuriyanum primary crosses

'cause all plants offer are still wild collected, Bruh. ;) I think it's still the same for canhii. Anywho, I think that most of the collectors/growers that are growing those two species got them from Achima : http://www.achimaorchids.com :)

    Paph. rungsuriyanum primary crosses

I would also say with hangianum. But mostly because the hang has solid leaf and the leaf pattern on the rung might transfer to the progeny. Also, since hangianum is a slow grower it's better to make the cross sooner than later. The plant's illegal dude.

    Barbara Leann

    gorgeous!
  15. Silvan

    Phragmidedium Eumelia Arias x caudatum

good luck! Let's hope that it won't take 10+ years before they bloom!

congrats on your lovely blooms and mostly for your patience and rigor.
  17. Silvan

    Phragmipedium André Lévesque

wow! Very dramatic and imposing flowers.
  18. Silvan

Gorgeous! I have both and they better look exactly like that!

I need some help with selecting

Was it this one? Phrag. Gail Dytrych http://www.slippertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34462 Also, the Phragmipedium Peruflora's Saltimbanco is pink with undulated petals : But it's not a small/medium size plant : I think that Glen as both of those crosses. :)
