I know. He's bringing me guttatum and Christian. The tibeticum I bought last fall is poking up through the soil now.

    'Dragon's Blood'

The product I ordered from Amazon has finally arrived. It looks like the real deal. It doesn't smell quite as strongly as the stuff I got from Eric. Perhaps it's a bit more dilute. It was around $20 for 2 ounces from Blue Organix.. Dragon's Blood Sangre de Grado, 2 Ounces, 100% Raw Pure Croton...

Cypripedium acaule - watch with me

I have seen them growing here in Canada next to a sand quarry in soil that was 90% sand covered in pine needles.

    Neocogniauxia monophylla

Very nice. Great photos too. I have had Neocogniauxia hexaptera for years. It likes similar conditions, although I do put it outside for the summer and it seems to like that.

    'Dragon's Blood'

I stored mine at room temp for several years. All the red stuff eventually precipitated out and settled to the bottom. I bought some fresh stuff on Amazon but it hasn't arrived yet. The red precipitate is soluble in alcohol, but the consensus seems to be not to use alcohol.

Eric, I want to buy some from you and pick it up in Montreal. Are you going this year?

Eric, do you have any for sale? I sent you a PM awhile ago (now called a conversation in the new system - envelope at the top right of the screen).

    Nicely grown and great photo!

    Phrag. kovachii 'Sweet Valentine'

So how did the shape hold up? It appears to have thicker substance than usual. Did that make a difference in retaining it's lovely shape?

    Laelia bradei

I don't think they'd do well under 3 feet of snow.

    Sophronitis

Yes, I've always grow the wittigiana in warm conditions, so the hybrid is warmth tolerant. I'm growing a division mounted on tree fern under warm conditions. It's not as happy and it hasn't flowered yet, but it's growing fine.

    Sophronitis

Here's a couple of Soph acuensis on the left and a cross between acuensis and wittigiana on the right. It's amazing how much these flowers expand after opening. (I know they're supposed to be Cattleyas, but I'm waiting for a second opinion.)

    Laelia bradei

Beauty!. Nicely grown. It looks very happy. I managed to grow them OK, but not as well as yours. Only a few flowered indoors under lights in the winter.
