    Three Phrags

Took a few photos today - all first bloomings for me: Phragmipedium Silver Eagle 'Pink Frost' Phrag. richteri Phrag besseae var. dalessandroi - still opening Cheers and good growing, Paul

    Distorted blossom

I think the color is pretty good and consistent with the parentage. Phrag. Cardinal is dalessandroi (besseae) x Andean Fire. Are you thinking of Phrag. Cardinale (Sedenii x schlimii)?

    Distorted blossom

This Phrag. Cardinal is certainly disappointing. Hopefully the problem isn't genetic, and the next blooming will be better. Anyone with a similar experience? Cheers and good growing, Paul

    Nepenthes

Sorry, there aren't any females in bloom. I don't usually attempt crosses, and frequently cut the flower stalks. Thanks to all for the compliments and good growing, Paul

I'm anxious to see them fully open, too. Should be a majestic display...

    Tall tails - Phragmipedium humboldtii

I had to take this out of the greenhouse to get a decent picture. Certainly not a clean composition, but the size of the plant and strong wind gusts made things a bit difficult. Many thanks to my wife, Lisa, who held onto the background! Cheers, Paul

Orchids Limited has plants for sale as Phrag. popowii.

    Phrag. Achental album 'Fall River'

Well, we won't see them when they bloom, but you can give us a description. ;) Seriously, I've been lusting after a light or white phragmipedium for some time. I have a couple seedlings that might turn out that way, but I guess it doesn't happen too often. Enjoy your plant.

    Phrag. besseae fma. flavum

I am pretty excited to see my first bloom of the yellow form: Cheers and good growing, Paul

    Finally... Phragmipedium humboltii in spike!

It happens, unfortunately. Still, you're culture is excellent and the flowers look very promising.

More Phrag. besseae babies (and a couple of their phrag friends)

Love 'em all, but especially the Kelly Forks...well done, Kate!

    Phrag caricinum

Well, a bit of egg on my face. I have Phrag. lindleyanum, and I should have spotted its influence right away. It is Popow Orchids breeding and was labelled as Phrag. caricinum. I purchased it on eBay.

    Phrag caricinum

Thank you! I will change the label and enjoy the plant.

    Phrag caricinum

When I posted this, maybe I should have said I wasn't certain about the identity. It certainly looks different than the limited number of photos I could find, and some of them are probably Phrag. pearcei. However, checking my reference books, the plants physical characteristics fit the...

    Phragmipedium besseae flavum seedling

    Looking good!

    Phrag caricinum

It started to open a couple days ago. Shape could be better, but maybe it will improve. It was purchased in spike, so I can't take credit for it yet. Cheers and good growing, Paul
