in my experience, the flowers will last 1-2 weeks. luckily they seem to keep sending up new spikes every few weeks.

it took me 4 months of harrassing them almost every week to get my free plant, and you don't even get to pick which one you get. luckily I got one that I like, but it's a small plant, at least a couple years from blooming.

It does look a lot like Landmark, but the petals are much shorter and less twisted than on mine.

this discussion has me wondering about water hardness. after all, calcium and magnesium are the two main culprits in making water hard, and many orchid growers use ro water. so...if you were to just use tap water, would you still need supplemental calcium?

I have a longifolium that's currently working on it's 5th and probably final bloom. It's been a fun one--and has spent well over 3 months total in bloom. I'll post pictures later.
