Oh! It’s gorgeous!!

Unless you’re going to be gone for more than a couple weeks you should still be able to enjoy them when you get back! I often have my house sitters take pictures of anything that opens while I’m gone.

I saw photos of Disa flowers years ago, and they immediately went on my wishlist. I didn’t find any plants for sale until this summer, and I bought two. I was so surprised to see buds start to peek out last month! It doesn’t have the best form, but I’m beyond delighted that it bloomed at all.

I have the same thing from time to time, but not always in my strongest plants. I don’t have any information to share; I’m interested in hearing more too.

I love that plants are (sometimes) so resilient! Lovely flower :)

I love pearcei’s. I haven’t bloomed one yet, so I’m always excited to other people’s photos and blooms. Beautiful!

I think gatrixianum is one of my favorites! I bought three seedlings last year, so it’ll be a while before I see flowers. In the meantime, yours is lovely!

I can’t argue with anything you said about Seattle. They recently had a 40% off sale and I took a chance and ended up with this. All the advice for this plant seems to be the same though. Pot it up, put it in a humid spot and wait to see if it recovers. Thanks all!

I'll try adding some rooting hormone and moss. Thanks! This was from Seattle Orchid. I've had mixed luck from them. Some plants have been really nice, and others are... more like this. The random rescue plant they sent with the order was actually in better shape than this one.

I recently ordered a Phrag Betheva that arrived with no good roots. I unpotted it, cut off the dead roots and set it in a pot with LECA and a little water at the bottom, hoping it will re-root for me. Does anyone have other suggestions? It's only been a week or two so far and it doesn't seem to...
