take my advice, don't try to "help" the dorsals on brachys. every time i try i end up splitting the dorsal at the tip. ☹️ pic from prior my destructive fiddling.

Just opened this morning. Very wonky all around. I had a feeling this bloom would end up wonky since the spike/bud was growing sideways and all twisty. Hope the bloom relaxes a little as it lightens.

this has happened to me quite a few times now. new incoming species brachys will grow until they bloom or blast, die back to nearly nothing (only tiny green nubbins protruding from the roots), then come back with a vengeance (new sometimes multiple growths with nice thick succulent leaves)...
