Our show is always small but it was smaller this year between changing venues and other factors. Again, the show rallied with excellent quality orchids on display and for sale from our great vendors. Here are a few quick pics from the displays :

This Phragmipedium Yelva Myhre was awarded today at the Greater Akron Society Show. It received an AM and CCM. Oh, and Best in Class for Phragmipedium. I will take more photos once she turns home.

I have two of these, so I am adding numbers to keep track of which on is which. One of the flowers is a much better shape. I wonder did the plant get a bit dry while the second flower was opening.

This is my first Phalaenopsis to recieve an AOS award. Introducing Mainshow Cyborg 'Ellis's Starburst' AM/AOS. It scored 81. A friend took it to judging, so I don't have the description yet.

This Shun-Fa Golden x micranthum. This clone is blooming for the first time and has been open for 2 days. It might continue to expand a bit more in the upcoming days. I must admit I would love a purple clone like Tony's. Still I love the shape of mine and the colors are clearer in the sun light.

I picked this up for Paph Paradise at the beginning of October. It was already in bud. Now it's finally open. Angela is fairrieanum x niveum.... and yes, I should have staked it earlier.

Paphiopedilum Quintal Mini Stone (thaianum Stone Lovely) is blooming for the first time.

This clone is from Orchid's Limited. The parents are besseae 'Rob's Choice' AM/AOS (4N) x Incan Treasure - making this likely a 3N clone. I cannot remember what happened to set this plant back but I upset it somehow a couple of years ago. It is now getting its vigor back and blooming again...

This is its best year yet! I was surprised to see this many flowers because it was not only subjected to a month of cooler temperatures this fall. As much as I like this Aussie dendrobium hybrids, I only have a few. The flowers are wonderfully scented but also short lived.

This is from Ross Hella (@Ross) of Deerwood Orchids. I don't have many complex paphs, so this one really stands out for me. The color is a deep burgundy, despite appearing brown on my screen.
