    Maybe flowers are smaller on stunted growths, though not always. Depends how stress they are?!

    Medium to low light produces longer leaves. High light stunts the plants in my experience. Fingers crossed for that bud!

    The bud developed stealthily behind some leaves and opened before I knew what it was. A soft pink with 3-4 colors in throat. Bud was a confusing yellow! Not a bad shape for quad as they usually opened very cupped. Thus the silver medal acknowledgement. I hear it usually is better than this...

    A flower is either flamea or venosa (based on the most dominant and obvious trait), not both unfortunately. In the case of Hilo Grand, the flamea dominates.
