I was nervous about judging today for my leucochilum and thought it was passed… but as it turned out, an award! It scored 85 points, a solid score. The judges loved the really round petals and the intense dark pigmentation. Here’s pics from the day’s event and the glamour shots lol 😂.

Hello, This paph. leucochilum x sib ('Dark' HCC/AOS x 'Fine Spots') i bought from Orchid Inn is finally open. I have it since November and it grows pretty well. I am hoping it will open up a little more.

Two days ago this peeked out... signalling the end of their wintry hibernation and the coming of the brachy season in my little forest abode. It also means summer is here... earlier than most years in Canada. But I’m not complaining lol.

Flowering in the hottest part of my growing area, where days are 28-35C and nights 21-24C, in bright T5 lights (two bulbs, one foot away).
